Who am I ?

I am a Techie who is passionate about technology, travel, food, culture, language, people and most importantly life. I work in a tech company, I "lyft" for passion and participate in Toastmasters to share and listen to people experiences.

About me

Born healthy in India, I was contracted polio when I was 18 months old, but at early onset with seizures and a fever, doctors had no idea what was wrong with me. “When a doctor finally checked my legs, they did a test with a hammer where they tap your leg with increased intensity to see what you feel, I didn’t react to any of it,”.They realized I was paralysed.

I had my share of difficulties in childhood. I was not normal but later I started looking at that as "I am different" which gave me a different level of confidence to deal with life. Against all odds, I am here and want to tell the world, being different is amazing and you have to be proud about it. Also I have never stayed in a city for more than 3 years because of which I had variety of experiences. I love talking to people and having new experiences.

Toastmaster

Participating in Toastmasters helped hone my skills so I could share my inspirational story — living with polio — in a way that reaches the broadest audience. At the urging of my-wife, I looked into becoming a motivational speaker, and started with Toastmasters.
